Diagnostics by ICA

I.C.A understands the importance of getting your car back on the road.

That’s why we’ve invested in the latest diagnostic equipment linked directly to VAG group central server allowing us to have the same diagnostic capability as a VAG dealership. Engine management lights are fault indicators that can appear at any time and will be visible on your vehicle dashboard. An engine management light will indicate a possible fault with your vehicle and requires specific diagnostic equipment to identify the fault and direct the technician to the right area.

We feel it’s important to have the latest diagnostics, to ensure we can find the solution to any engine fault. With an ever changing industry, and constant evolution to the build of the vehicle and design we do make sure we’re receiving all the latest training and updates to master engine faults for the various makes, models and ages of vehicles.

Our diagnostics cover VAG and prestige vehicles and along with our specialist knowledge can cover faults such as:-

  • Petrol and diesel fuel system
  • Body and comfort systems
  • Poor performance
  • Intermittent faults
  • Injectors
  • Software
  • Battery
  • Turbo
  • Brakes
  • Particulate filter faults
  • Particulate filter regeneration

Our Diagnostic Equipment

At I.C.A we have online Diagnostic systems to repair specially protected vehicle components and flash control units, that you need online access to the relevant Volkswagen AG systems (GeKo/SVM).

GeKo and SVM enable you to use the online connection of your VAS Offboard Diagnostic Information System diagnostic software to perform on the VAG central server, thereby considerably expanding the performance of our diagnostic capability.

What is GeKo?
GeKo (Geheimnis und Komponentenschutz – security and component protection) is a function available to users via the online connection provided by the Offboard Diagnostic Information System diagnostic software and enables users to program immobiliser components (e.g. instrument cluster, engine control unit), keys and component protection (e.g. air conditioning, navigation system etc.) to the vehicle.

What is SVM?
SVM (software version management) is an additional function provided via the online connection from the Offboard Diagnostic Information System diagnostic software. SVM ensures that control units are programmed via a reliable process and are installed correctly. The function also provides assistance when coding control units.
